With older LG TVs it depended on the options taken during the TV setup, whether you select a specific cable provider or a neutral setting like "none", "other", "." to prevent using predefined numbers. I know from other TV manufacturers that they do not allow the user to change numbers that were assigned by the cable company. I'm also not sure how the TV handles channel numbers when your cable provider sends out his preferred numbers (LCN). ![]() If the TV goes nuts by reading such a file, then I can only blame the TV's firmware. The only changes are literally the channel numbers and the indicator, that the number was changed by the user. It also works for Hisense, Samsung, LG, Panasonic, and Toshiba televisions.
